Elderly woman dies following collision in A46 crash near Stroud

AN ELDERLY woman who was seriously injured in a collision on the A46 near Stroud earlier this month has died.

The incident happened at around 10am near Salmon Springs on Tuesday, October 11 and involved a black Ford B-Max and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, 86-year-old Giovanna Malukas who lived in Stroud, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with serious injuries.

She remained in hospital and died three days later on Friday, October 14.

Police continue to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident and who has not already spoken to officers.

Anyone with dashcam footage or information they feel may be relevant is also asked to make contact.
