has put together a displaying 35 successful movies and TV shows that were filmed in and around Gloucestershire.
Gloucester Cathedral is one of the filming hotspots featuring on the map since it has appeared in eight hit films and TV shows including theSherlock and Mary Queen of Scots.
Another filming location is Berkeley Castle home to Jonny English Strikes Again and Poldark.
Filmed in Snowshill was Bridget Jones’ Diary in 2001 with scenes from Die Another Day being filmed the following year just 13.5 miles away at RAF Little Rissington.

The Forest of Dean has proven popular among filmmakers with Arthur & Merlin, Jack the Giant Killer and The Huntsman: Winter’s War as well as Star Wars Ep VII: The Force Awakens all being filmed there.
Moving to the other end of Gloucestershire, Badminton House has featured in both 28 Days Later and Pearl Harbour.

Throughout the filming of such movies and TV shows, Gloucestershire has acted as a home temporarily to many famous faces whether they were filming or going about their daily lives.
During this year alone, celebrities such as David Hasselhoff, Stacey Solomon, Trevor McDonald and Idris Elba have been spotted in the area.
The Beckhams, Jamie Dornan and Jeremy Clarkson are all known to live nearby in the surrounding Cotswolds.
Gloucestershire often receives requests to film in and around the area and while filmmakers may take inspiration from scenes that have already been shot there, the county’s historical value and the impressive destinations it has draws them in.

“Some of the biggest hits, such as the Harry Potter films, have brought in a lot of tourism for Gloucester and the Cathedral itself over the years and we already have some big hits in the pipeline for the coming years.
“We hope that our map will provide anyone in the area, locals or tourists, with a great day or two out, travelling around, trying to spot buildings and areas that featured in some big box office hits.”
