FOUR people have been taken to hospital after this morning’s crash on the A419.
The major road remains closed northbound after the incident, which police confirmed involved five vehicles.
A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service confirmed multiple patients were treated at the scene.

They said: “South Western Ambulance Service attended a serious accident involving four cars and a lorry on the A419 between B4192 Purley Road (Commonhead Interchange) and the Stratton turn off.
“We were called at around 9.30am about a serious road traffic incident involving five vehicles on the A419 in Swindon. Our colleagues treated multiple patients at the scene, and conveyed four of them to hospital by land for further care.”
The road remains closed and Wiltshire Police have said it will stay shut for many hours.
