The man, who is aged in his 50s and from Longlevens, will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates Court.
He is charged with possessing two videos of extreme pornography which showed a person having intercourse with a horse.
It is alleged that the videos ‘portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse with a live animal, namely a horse, and which was grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character and a reasonable person looking at the image would think that any such person or animal was real’.
He is also charged with possessing indecent images of children – namely 12 category A images, nine at category B and 27 at category C.
All the offences are alleged to have been committed between July 20 and April 6 last year in Longlevens.
