A HARD hearted thief stole his Valentine’s Day bouquet from outside a florists in Stonehouse.
Due to the lockdown restrictions, The Flower Shop in Stonehouse was offering a click and collect service for their bouquets this Valentine’s Day.
After taking orders from her customers, shop co-owner Rachel Smith, met people outside with their flowers.
One customer had placed an order for 50 red roses, specifying that he would like diamanté’s in every rose.
Rachel made the bouquet just as he wanted it, and she had it ready and waiting for him when he arrived at the shop to collect it.
But rather than paying Rachel for the flowers, he asked her to go back inside for a gift card, and then did a runner, taking the roses with him.
With all the effort that had gone into preparing her Valentine orders, set against the ongoing difficulties of running a business through the pandemic, it was a real blow for Rachel.
“Upset and angry is an understatement,” Rachel posted on Facebook.
“But we have your number and you’ve been reported.”
