Each month the county’s Camera Enforcement Team visits five different speeding hotspots across the county for one day a week.
One location last month was the A417 at Nettleton Bottom, which is 40mph.
Cotswold district councillor Julia Judd, who represents the Ermin Ward in Cirencester, said: “For years the A417 has been a notorious blackspot for accidents, especially the stretch where it becomes single carriageway from the Cowley roundabout.
“Being the old Roman road, Ermin Street, the dual carriageway section is as straight as a die with a speed limit of 70mph but at Nettleton Bottom it reduces to 40mph where it meanders, drops and rises.
“Last week, HM Treasury signed off unconditional funding to building the A417 missing link, which will bypass this blackspot and will improve journey safety and time between the M4 at Swindon and the M5 at Brockworth.
“It is hoped that the new route will be ready in 2026 and will extend the dual carriageway along a smoother, safer course.”
The other locations last month were:
• The A4173 near St Peter’s School, Gloucester – 30mph
• Bath Road, Frocester near Stonehouse – 30mph
• Stoke Road, Stoke Orchard near Cheltenham – 30mph
• Old Station Way, Coleford – 30mph
The second highest number of speeders caught was 25 in Coleford while 18 were caught near St Peter’s School and in Frocester.
None were caught at Stoke Orchard as the site was blocked by a fallen tree.
In November last year, 108 drivers were caught breaking the 40mph limit on the A435 Grove Lane in Cirencester when the team visited that site.
This month’s locations are:
• Bristol Road, Quedgeley – 30mph
• The A38 at Gossington near Thornbury – 50mph
• Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury at Mowbray Avenue – 40mph
• Leckhampton Road, Cheltenham at the junction with Old Bath Road – 30mph
• Coleford Road, Bream – 30mph
The aim of publicising the locations it to encourage drivers to adhere to the limits but officers will also be at other locations not listed.
