SHADOW chancellor John McDonnell will visit Stroud as part of a nationwide tour highlighting Labour’s plans for the country’s economy.
The Labour MP will be speaking at the Sub Rooms on June 29, from 10am – 2pm.
After outlining Labour’s vision, McDonnell will hand the floor to the audience for a discussion about the economy in Stroud.
The event is open to everyone, but those wishing to attend must book a place. This can be done via: events.labour.org.uk/event/276649?fbclid=IwAR19Vb2vNmEuLj0wqnjnld90ERRD1rPLitHFOMCtN1pHb3IA7rIWgn5jo7c
Since becoming shadow chancellor, McDonnell has led the development of Labour’s economic strategy.
During the 2017 general election he produced a fully costed economic programme detailing the taxation and spending decisions Labour would take if voted into government.
