Latest Covid cases in Stroud

This comes as in recent weeks Chalford, Bussage, Leonard Stanley, Uley, Frampton, Whitminster and Eastington were all in the government’s black zone of cases. 

Being in the black zone means an area has a case rate higher than 1,600 per 100,000 people.

There has nonetheless been a dramatic change in Covid cases over the recent weeks.

Around 90 per cent of those eligible in the Stroud local authority have received the first dose of the Covid vaccine.

This data is worked out using the percentage of population aged 12 plus.

Almost 87 per cent of those eligible have received the second dose.

Meanwhile, around 75 per cent of the population have received the booster jab.

Just under 500 people tested positive across the Stroud local authority over the last seven days to April 14. 

185 patients were admitted to hospital in Gloucestershire in the last seven days in the week leading up to April 10. 

Six deaths within 28 days of positive test were recorded in Stroud according to the latest data provided on March 28.
