Long delay at Bristol Parkway after person hit by train

DOZENS of commuters have been left waiting at Bristol Parkway after reports a person was hit by a train.

Travellers have been told to London have been told to expect delays of more than an hour, while replacement bus services are on their way to take those travelling to Wales.

One woman called Cerys travelling to Cheltenham for a funeral said she was meant to be on the 2.59 Cheltenham to Paddington service but has been stuck at Parkway.

National Rail has put out an alert which reads: “Major disruption between Reading and London Paddington expected until 19:00.”
