A man has been arrested after a car was driven towards fans leaving a Gloucester rugby match.

Police were called to Kingsholm at 5pm after a car appeared to have been driven towards a group of people leaving the club.

The driver had then got out of the car and a 27-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody.

No-one was injured during the incident.

Gloucestershire police have confirmed that this was an isolated incident and not terrorism related.

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting incident 344 of October 26.

The incident happened shortly after the final whistle of Gloucester’s Premiership match against Wasps. Gloucester won the game 25-9.
