A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire at a block of flats in Cirencester.
The fire broke out at around 1pm in Swinford Close, Cirencester on Friday.
The roof of one flat was 100 per cent damaged, with three other flats also said to be affected by the fire.
Police and fire services have launched an investigation, and are treating the fire as suspicious.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police said: “A 23-year-old man from Cirencester was arrested on suspicion of arson on Friday evening and has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.”
“Anyone with information on the fire is asked to call 101 quoting incident 187 of June.”
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service added: “Six fire engines were sent on Friday.
“Two crews from Cirencester, two crews from Cricklade, one from Northleach and one from Gloucester.
“An ariel platform was also used during the incident.
“The roof of one flat was 100 percent damaged.
“A first floor flat was 15 percent damaged.
“The two downstairs flats were partially damaged by water.
“No injuries were suffered during the incident.
“A fire and police investigation is underway and we are treating this as suspicious.”
