A 30-YEAR-OLD man from Stroud has been charged with drink driving after a car crashed into a family business in Brimscombe.
A car had collided with two other cars, before leaving the carriageway, at which point it crashed through the wall of Carpet Hotline on the A419/London Road at 5.25pm on Sunday, November 6.
Emergency services were called and three children were subsequently taken to hospital by paramedics with injuries which were not believed to be serious.
The road was closed while the route was cleared and made safe.

Gloucestershire Police have released a brief statement about the incident. A spokesperson said: “We were called to a three-vehicle collision on London Road in Brimscombe shortly before 5.25pm on Sunday, November 6.
“One of the vehicles involved had collided with a building and emergency services attended.
“Three children were subsequently taken to hospital by paramedics after sustaining injuries which were not believed to be serious.
“A man was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol.
“A 30-year-old man from Stroud has been charged with being in charge of a vehicle with his alcohol level above the legal limit and he was bailed to attend Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, November 22.”
