
The 30-year-old man from Dursley allegedly engaged in continuous controlling behaviour against the same woman.
It is alleged the man repeatedly hit the woman across the face, arms and legs in incidents between January 1, 2021 and July 12, 2022.
He also allegedly forced the woman to ask for his permission to go to the lavatory, and on one occasion instructed her to eat human faeces.
The charge on the court list reads that he allegedly refused to allow the woman to go to the Vale Community Hospital in Dursley on August 19, 2021 unless she agreed to fabricate an account of how she came to sustain injuries to her face.
He also allegedly ordered her not to have a facial X-ray.
According to the court list, the man also allegedly threatened to kill the woman’s family if she told them how she got her injuries and instructed her to ask her family for money to buy cocaine and cannabis on multiple occasions.
The defendant is also charged with five separate ABH charges against the same woman with incidents occurring in Dursley in five dates between March 2021 and July 2022.
He is charged under the Serious Crime Act 2015 and Offences Against the Person Act 1861.
The case is due to be heard at Cheltenham Magistrates Court today, Thursday (March 16).
