A Nailsworth man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Stroud last night.
The incident, which involved a pedestrian and a silver Toyota Avensis, took place outside of Dudbridge Garage at around 8.45pm.
A 38-year-old was taken to Southmead Hospital with injuries that were deemed to be serious and he remains in a stable condition.
The driver of the car was not injured.
Police are appealing for witnesses and would particularly like to hear from anyone who saw the pedestrian in the lead up to the collision or have dashcam footage.
