CCTV images have been released of two men police want to speak to about the theft of a catalytic converter in Stroud.

The vehicle part was cut from the exhaust of the car in Merrywalks car park at around 2pm on Sunday, February 2.

Police want to speak to the two men pictured, who were travelling in a Citroen Xsara Picasso estate.

Another catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked at Cotswold Indoor Bowls Club in Golden Jubilee Way in Stroud earlier the same day.

The incidents could be linked to other catalytic converter thefts in the country, including some in Somerset.

The criminals in those cases have targeted Honda Jazz and Toyota Auris models in car parks.

Anyone who knows the men or has information about these crimes should call 101 and quote incident 274 of February 2. Crimestoppers can be called anonymously on 0800 555 111.
