Iulian Bucur, 37, drove at 69mph on A417 near the South Cerney junction – this particular stretch of road has a speed limit of 60mph.
The incident took place on March 20 last year.
Bucur’s case was dealt with at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, July 15.
He was handed a £215 fine and must pay £110 costs plus a £34 victim fund surcharge.
The total of £359 must be paid by Tuesday, August 9.

The defendant’s guilty plea was taken into account when imposing sentence.
