A person has been hit by a train between Worcester and Oxford this afternoon.
Great Western Railway tweeted shortly before 1pm: “A person has been hit by a train between Oxford and Worcester Shrub Hill and all lines between the two stations are currently blocked.”
The casualty’s condition is currently unknown.
Passengers travelling to or from Moreton-in-Marsh will be affected as the line is situated between both stations.
It is not known when the line will re-open, but a spokesman for GWR says it will likely be later this evening.
Updates to follow.
