National Express returns to Stroud and will go through Chalford

Cancelled over a year ago, the bus – which means passengers can travel from Stroud to London Victoria and back – has been recently reinstated. 

The 401 service runs once a day with a different route to the previous one, which went through Cirencester and was scrapped on Monday, November 8 2021. 

Stroud News and Journal:

All services mentioned below go through the stop at Merrywalks in Stroud outside the cinema and also at a stop on the A419 London Road in Chalford, near Dark Lane.

On a Monday, it leaves Stroud at 8.05am, Chalford at 8.10am, arriving at London Victoria at 11.20am. 

On a Tuesday, the bus leaves Stroud at 7.40am, Chalford at 7.45am and arrives at London Victoria at 11.20am. 

On a Wednesday, it leaves Stroud at 8.10am, Chalford at 8.15am, arriving at London Victoria at 11.50am. 

On a Thursday, it leaves Stroud and Chalford at the same times as a Wednesday. 

On Fridays, it leaves Stroud at 7.40am, Chalford at 7.45am and arrives at London Victoria at 11.20am. 

On Saturdays and Sundays, it leaves Stroud at 8.05am, Chalford at 8.10am, arriving at London Victoria at 11.20am. 

For return journeys, the bus leaves London Victoria at 8pm, arriving at Stroud at 11.05pm on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

On a Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday the bus leaves Victoria at 7.30pm, arriving back in Stroud at 22.35pm.
