

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M48, from 9pm October 4 2021 to 6am March 9 2022, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M48 Severn Bridge eastbound, carriageway closed overnight for bridge maintenance works. Diversion via M4 Prince of Wales Bridge.
• M48, from 9pm October 11 2021 to 6am March 16 2022, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M48 Severn Bridge westbound, carriageway closed overnight for maintenance works. Diversion via M4 Prince of Wales Bridge.
And a further nine closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M4, from 8am to 2pm on January 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 Prince of Wales Bridge westbound, lane closure for barrier repairs.
• M4, from 8pm January 4 to 6am January 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M48 westbound, between M4 and junction 1 closed for survey works, diversion via M4 west to junction 23a then return M4 east to M48 east.
• M32, from 9.30pm January 4 to 6am January 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 1 closed between the exit and entry slips for survey works, diversion via the southbound, exit and entry slips.
• M5, from 6am January 5 to 8pm February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 18a to 17 lane closure 24 / seven northbound, for fence work and pond removal.
• M4, from 8pm January 5 to 6am January 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M48 westbound, between M4 and junction 1 lane closure for survey works.
• M4, from 8pm January 5 to 5.30am January 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 18 to 19 lane closures for signal repair.
• M4, from 8pm January 6 to 5.30am January 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 18 to 19 lane closures for signal repair.
• A46, from 9am to midday, on January 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A46 Cold Ashton Roundabout traffic signals for South Gloucestershire Council works.
• M32, from 8pm January 10 to 6am January 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 20 exit slip to M5 closed for survey works, diversion via M4 east to junction 19 then M32 south to junction 1 and return M32 north to junction 19 then M4 west to junction 20.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
