A HUGE fine was handed out for a driver caught speeding.
John Hoey, aged 59, of Fieldcourt Gardens, Quedgeley, was caught speeding earlier this year in a grey Nissan.
The incident occurred on the M5 in the county of Worcestershire on January 2 where a speed limit of 60mph was exceeded.
Hoey’s case was heard at the Worcester Justice Centre on Friday, July 22.

He was handed a £533 fine and must pay £90 costs plus a £53 victim fund surcharge.
A total of £676 must be paid by Friday. August 19.
Hoey was also given six penalty points on his driving licence.
The defendant’s guilty plea taken was into account when imposing sentence.
