Owner of Upper Lock cafe to open new eatery in Stroud

THE owner of the now closed Upper Lock Cafe in Stroud is opening a new takeaway cafe in the high street.

Janette permanently closed the doors of the Upper Lock last month following the lockdown, but in a post on Facebook, she revealed plans to open a new cafe called Loganberry next month.

She said: “I shall be starting a new takeaway café up at 26 High Street in Stroud, opposite Cornflower and Calico, and just down from Haberdashery Twist.

“The new enterprise will be called Loganberry.

“I shall be doing takeaway coffee (the same brand as before), drinks, homemade soup and homemade cakes. Cups and containers are all recyclable. All things being equal, I should be open towards the end of August. Hope to see you all again soon.”
