A PARENT of a pupil at St Mary’s Primary School in Tetbury has tested positive for COVID-19.
The email reads: “We have been informed today that a parent of a pupil at the school has tested positive for COVID-19. The pupil has been in school this week in Lime bubble (Mrs Pike’s class) and was isolated and collected as soon as we were made aware.
“As we are working and playing in bubbles, the pupil has only been in contact with other members of that bubble.
“Please be assured that we have followed all government guidelines and our local health protection have been informed.
“No further action needs to be taken unless the child subsequently develops symptoms or others who have had contact with the child develop symptoms of coronavirus.
“I will inform parents immediately if I am made aware of any further cases in our school community.”
At the beginning of March, a member of staff at the same school became one of the first people with a confirmed case of the virus in Gloucestershire.
