PARKING CHARGES: Poll shows nearly 90% disagree with decision to increase fees in Cotswolds

?type=app&htype=318 - PARKING CHARGES: Poll shows nearly 90% disagree with decision to increase fees in Cotswolds

Almost 90 per cent of residents disagree with Cotswold District Council’s decision to increase car parking charges by 30 per cent.

That’s according to a poll we ran on our website last week.

Parking in council-owned car parks will increase by 30 per cent on September 1, following the decision at a Cotswold District Council meeting last month.

88% of residents said they didn’t support the increase, with 9% saying they did support it.

Just 3% of respondents said they supported an increase but 30 per cent is excessive.
