Cotswolds police tweeted this evening to say that a dispersal order has been introduced to prevent anti-social behaviour in the Love Lane area of Cirencester.
The order will run from now, until 3pm on Monday.
Officers can direct groups to leave the area when the behaviour of the group is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
What is a dispersal order?
Dispersal orders give the police additional powers to break up groups of two or more people, where they believe their behaviour is causing a nuisance, harassment or distress.
Dispersal orders were introduced as part of the Anti-Social Behaviour Act 2003.
