Police crackdown on Lechlade pavement parkers

POLICE are patrolling a road after drivers were discovered to be parking on the pavement, obstructing wheelchair users and pushchairs in Lechlade.

Fairford and Lechlade Neighbourhood Policing Team are now urging motorists to ‘park sensibly’ in St John’s Street.

Offending vehicles may face ‘positive’ police action.

PCSO Zaheer Bulbul said in a community alert: “We have had reports of vehicles parking fully on the pavement in St John’s Street in John Street, Lechlade.

“The local NPT will be patrolling the area and may take positive action towards offending vehicles.”
