Police granted extension for man in connection with suspicious death in Gloucester

A 38-year-old man will remain in custody after a court extension was granted to allow questioning to continue following the death of a man in Gloucester the police are treating as suspicious.

Police have been granted a court extension to continue questioning a man for an additional 36 hours who has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The 42-year-old man who was also arrested in connection with the incident was released under investigation overnight to allow for further enquiries to take place.

Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death and cordons will remain in place today.

Investigating officers are still appealing for information in connection with the incident and anyone who may be able to assist is asked to contact police.
