A scene guard was in place in the area of Cricklade Street, Cirencester in connection with an assault last night (Friday).
Police were called by the ambulance service at around 11.30pm with a report that a man had been assaulted by two other men near Waterstone’s.
Members of the public assisted and emergency services attended.
The victim, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to Swindon Hospital and his injuries are not believed to be serious.
The police cordon was removed this afternoon (Saturday).
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
