PCSO Hazel Pearson issued a community alert warning residents in Wotton to be wary of multiple men offering gardening work and going door to door.
They are reportedly from Bristol and were driving a white pick up which PSCO Pearson described as ‘suspicious’.
She said: “We’re appealing for information on Friday (March 24) at 10:30am, in Old Town, Wotton suspicious males offered gardening work door to door in a white pick up and a leaflet said they were from Bristol.
“Please if possible when you want work done phone and book someone who has been recommended and agree a price for the work.
“Do not feel pressured to make a decision at the door.”
