Maggie Halsey was named Teacher of the Year at the Pride of the Cotswolds awards.

Maggie has just retired after being headteacher at Rodborough Primary School for 18 years.

Despite this she is still doing some teaching at Uplands School, such is her love for the job.

After receiving her award she said: “It’s a huge privilege to win it but really I owe my whole teaching career to my colleagues.

“I’d really like to dedicate this to every colleague of my last school at Rodborough.

“There dedication and commitment has made my job worthwhile.”
