Staff at Bibury C of E Primary School were shocked and disappointed recently to discover that the school’s external noticeboard had been badly damaged.

As the school has been shut for Easter, it is unsure when the damage occurred.

There was no sign of any entry in the school.

Headteacher Mrs Suki Pascoe said: “We know that there has been an upsurge in petty vandalism during the lockdown but we hoped that would not be the case in a beautiful village like Bibury.

“There has been a suggestion that the board was damaged by the recent winds but it withstood the much stronger gales earlier in the year.”

If anyone has any information about the board they are asked to contact the school.

There are no plans to replace the board immediately but information about the school, which still has some places available for September, can be found on the school website.
