Pub in Stroud district gets new three star food hygiene rating

A pub in the Stroud district has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

The Black Horse, a pub at Littleworth, Amberley, Stroud, Gloucestershire was given the score after assessment on January 19, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

It means that of Stroud’s 94 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 64 have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.

The report said –

Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building

Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building (including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control) to enable good food hygiene

Management of food safety

System or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in future
