A Tetbury man has been hit with a bill for more than £1,000 for driving without due care and attention.
Robin McCorkell, of Long Street, committed the offence in a Range Rover on the A420 in Chippenham on June 18 last year.
The 54-year old was sentenced at Swindon Magistrates Court on February 18, having pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing.
McCorkell was fined £850 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £85 as well as costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service – a total of £1,020.
He has also been disqualified from driving for six months as a result of his repeat offences.
