A Thornbury scarecrow trail is continuing despite the impact caused by Storm Freya.

Several of the trail’s 32 scarecrows needed repairs following strong winds over the last couple of days.

Each scarecrow has been designed to represent a well known storybook character.

The trail has been organised by Friends of Manorbrook. Scarecrows are dotted all around the town, many in people’s front gardens, but all are visible from public footpaths.

Trail maps and answer sheets are available for £2 from the school office or The Swan pub on the High Street.

You have until 5pm on Sunday to find them all and guess the character and the book it is from.

Completed entries will go into a prize draw to win a £25 book token. They must be returned to the school by 3.30pm on March 22.

Money raised will be split between the school, who are looking to purchase an interactive white board, and Ezzy’s Wish to Walk.

Ezzy Hodge started at Manorbrook in September. Her family are looking to raise £20,000 so she can return to America for more surgery that will help her walk independently.
