Motorists are facing traffic chaos this morning after snow fell across the county overnight.

People in Gloucestershire woke to find a dusting of snow on the roads.

A number of crashes have been reported on the county’s road network.

 

The A419 in Preston, near Cirencester is partially blocked in both directions with queueing traffic due to the crash which is between Kingshill Lane and the A417 (Driffield).

It is affecting traffic between Cirencester and Swindon.

There are reports of heavy traffic due to a crash where the A435 meets the A436. Traffic between Ullenwood and Andoversford is affected.

 

There was a two vehicle-crash earlier at Oxenton, near Tewkesbury on the B4079.

The road was partially blocked in both directions due to the crash at Seven Bends.

It is not yet known if the incidents are due to the weather.
