A prisoner that absconded from Leyhill Prison on Friday is still missing.
Ronan Korby, also known as Lee Watersworth, was last seen at 10am on Friday in West Street, Bristol.
He was in Bristol on a work placement but failed to return to the prison where he is serving a sentence for sexual offences.
A Prison Service spokesperson said: “Absconds from open prison are extremely rare and we are work closely with Avon and Somerset Police to recapture the offender.
“Those who abscond can serve extra time behind bars in a closed prison.”
Korby is a white man aged 50, about 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black jacket and jeans and has a tattoo of a sun and eagle on his right forearm.
He is the second prisoner to abscond from Leyhill in the space of three weeks.
