Grandma was right when she told us not to pack away our woollies until the end of May and the danger of snow and frost has officially passed
Parts of the Cotswolds are seeing a touch of the white stuff tonight as the predicted cold blast arrives to put an end to the Spring sunshine we have enjoyed of late.
After a day of sunshine and showers, we have had reports that snow has started to fall on higher ground around Stroud.
However those who have seen the flurries have dashed hopes of a snow day ahead of the Easter holidays by saying the flakes are melting as soon as they hit the ground.

We have yet to receive pictorial confirmation of the white stuff falling but the weather forecast for Gloucestershire tonight is cold with rain, sleet and snow.
Arctic winds are sweeping in from the north-west to bring wintry conditions to Gloucestershire as the recent mild weather is turned on its head.
Earlier in the day there were reports of hailstones across the county, with the Forest of Dean being one of the areas pelted on Tuesday morning.
Tomorrow is predicted to be cold, with sunny spells and scattered showers with the possibility of thunder and hill snow and coastal gales.
