Stonehouse Town Council are appealing for information about plants from around the town were stolen.

Bedding plants recently installed at the entrance to the town and at the train station have been taken.

They had been installed by Stonehouse in Bloom volunteers, who finished the station planters on June 14. The group achieved a gold award in last year’s Heart of England in Bloom.

A comment on the council’s Facebook page said: “We are disappointed to report that some of the bedding plants recently installed have been removed.

“These are planted by volunteers for the enjoyment of residents and visitors to the town and are paid for by the Town Council and fundraising activities.

“Please keep your eyes peeled and report any suspicious activity.”

Anyone who has any information should report it to Stonehouse Town Council by phoning 01453 822070 or emailing customerservices@stonehousetowncouncil.com
