
Stroud’s motorists will have 11 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
But the news isn’t too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• M4, from 9am February 16 to 3.30pm March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 9 to 20 hard shoulder closure in both directions for horticulture works. Avoiding all other works.
• M5, from 9pm March 7 to 6am March 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 11a to 12 southbound, 24/7 hard shoulder closure for barrier works.
• M5, from 9pm March 7 to 6am March 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 11a to 12 southbound, lane closure for barrier works.
• M5, from 9pm February 28 to 6am March 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 9 to 20 mobile lane closure in both directions for maintenance works.
• M5, from midnight, December 4 2021 to 6am April 26 2022, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound and southbound, junction 13 to 14 narrow lanes for footbridge works.
And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:
• M5, from 6am March 18 to 6am March 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 11a to 12 southbound, 24/7 hard shoulder closure for barrier works.
• M5, from 10pm March 18 to 6am March 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 13 northbound, exit slip, lane closure for drainage works.
• M5, from 9pm March 20 to 6am March 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 11a to 12 southbound, lane closure for barrier works.
• M5, from 9pm March 21 to 6am March 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 11a to 12 southbound, lane closure for barrier works.
• M5, from 9pm March 21 to 6am March 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 11a to 12 southbound, 24/7 hard shoulder closure for barrier works.
• M5, from 9pm March 23 to 6am March 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 13 – 14 exit slip road to Michael Wood services closed for surveys.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
