Stroud police receive reports man exposed himself in High Street shop

POLICE have received a report of a man exposing himself in a shop in the High Street. 

The alleged incident occurred on Wednesday, July 13. 

Anyone who is concerned about a person behaving in this manner should contact Gloucestershire Constabulary through their website.

Anyone with information should quote incident number 337 of 13 July.

A person commits an offence if

  • he intentionally exposes his genitals, and
  • he intends that someone will see them and be caused alarm or distress.

A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable—

  • on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum or both
  • on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years.
