Teenager hurt after falling from M5 bridge near Stroud

POLICE have confirmed a teenage boy has been taken to hospital after falling from a bridge near Stroud earlier today.

The M5 northbound between junctions 13 for Stroud and 12 or Gloucester were closed this morning following reports of a male falling from a bridge near junction 13.

Officers have now confirmed it was a teenage boy.

A spokesperson for Gloucestershire Police said: “Police were called shortly after 8am today (Thursday, July 21) to the M5 northbound, near to junction 13 with a report of a male having fallen from the bridge.

“Officers attended and a teenage boy was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment.”
