The pub in question – The White Hart, a pub in Leonard Stanley, near Stroud – had said that it would close this Saturday.

However, an update was provided on the White Hart’s Facebook page.
The post – which has left locals delighted – read: “As there is a prospect of the pub having a new leaseholder it has been decided the pub will remain OPEN!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
“We will update further as we know more.”
