THE OWNERS of a restaurant in Cirencester will be raising a glass to celebrate five years in the town.
Tierra and Mar restaurant owners and married couple, head chef, Brett Russell, 33 and front of house manager, Silvia Perez-Alcazar, 34, have now been running the Sheep Street eatery for five years.
The restaurant has in this period been awarded Best Restaurant in the South West and has won two AA Rosettes.
Chef Brett was also a recent finalist in the Cotswold Life Food and Drink awards for the region’s Best Chef.
“The Cotswolds has been very kind to us,” said Silvia.
“We can’t believe it has been five years since we opened our doors.
“It has been an incredible five years, with ups and downs but you have always been with us.
“We have had guests from all over the region and Brett and I would like to say thanks.”
Tierra and Mar – which translates as from the land and the sea, is a Spanish influenced restaurant, with Brett’s modern British twist.
The venue has added a bar area to its offering plus it will operate a Sunday service from November.
Chef Brett said: “We had a lot of demand for smaller options so people can just enjoy some of our Spanish wines.
“There has always been interest in a Sunday offering so we are elated to add it to the schedule.”
The counter area was added pre-pandemic as well.
There is also barrel seating by the door for those wishing to simply enjoy a drink or share some of the small plate bar options, including cod croquette with alioli, padron peppers, or an Iberico ham croquette with apple gel.
There will be a four course set anniversary menu on offer on November 3, 4 and 5 to celebrate five years at the restaurant.
The menus are available via the website and social media.
Tierra and Mar is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Saturday and lunch on Sunday from November.
