A CIRENCESTER chippy has earned itself recognition from Tripadvisor after serving up a top-notch fish supper to plenty of satisfied punters.
Malt and Anchor takeaway and restaurant, which can be found in Castle Street, has this week been awarded with the 2021 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for casual dining.
The coveted award is given to eateries with consistently good traveller reviews on the site over the past 12-months.
Director of the popular fish and chip shop, Dan Lafford, said, “We are absolutely overjoyed to have received this award.
“Like most businesses, last year was very challenging for the team at Malt and Anchor. To have been recognised for our efforts on a global platform has made us enormously proud.
“We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our many loyal customers and hardworking staff, without whom we would certainly not find ourselves in this position.”
The coveted award is given to eateries traveller reviews on the site over the past 12-months.
Out of a total 358 reviews, 253 people rated their experience as ‘excellent’, with 44 more deeming the chippy ‘very good’.
One satisfied diner wrote, “First review I’ve ever written. Quite simply the best fish and chips ever, lovely staff and a very well-balanced atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.”
