Urgent plea issued by police for missing teenager Maya, 13

A teenage girl has been missing from her Bristol home since the weekend.

Maya, 13, is missing from her Bristol home.

In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said that Maya was believed to be with another missing girl who has returned home today, Wednesday 30 June.

“Maya failed to return home at the agreed time on Saturday 26 June after being dropped off at a friend’s house.

“There have been reported sightings of her in the Southmead and Lawrence Weston areas, but she may also travel into the city centre and shopping areas.

“Maya is about 5ft 4ins tall and slim with long blonde hair.

“She was dressed in black – leggings, T-shirt and jacket, but may since have changed her clothing.

“If you know where Maya is now, call 999 quoting reference 5221143449.

“If you have any other information which could help to trace her, ring 101 and give the same reference numbers.

“Maya: if you see this, please get in touch with family or call 101. We’re all concerned about you and just want to make sure you are safe.”
