Volvo driver caught over the limit in Moreton

A MAN from Moreton-in-Marsh has been banned from the road after being caught over the drink-drive limit.

Marcin Swiderski, of Windsor Road, Moreton In Marsh, has been disqualified from driving for 12 months after pleading guilty to the offence.

He had 41 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath after driving a Volvo on New Road and the high street in Moreton In Marsh, on October 9. The legal limit is 35.

The 44-year-old was also fined £230 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £200 to the Crown Prosecution Service after the case was heard at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, December 20.

His driving ban will be reduced by three months if a drink-drive rehabilitation course is completed.
