A boy from Stroud celebrating his birthday during the coronavirus lockdown received a surprise visit from the police on his big day.
Ethan Lewington turned six yesterday, and got a day to remember despite the lockdown when two officers turned up at his house in Stroud.
Ethan’s father Ryan had called the officers earlier in the day in the hope they might surprise his son on his birthday.
Ryan said: “One community support officer and one police officer came and surprised Ethan.
“I called them earlier in the day but I really didn’t think they were going to come, my little boy was so happy.
“They were asking him who his favourite superhero was, and what he wants to be when he grows up and what the magic number is if he needs the police, they were truly amazing.”
