THE LIDL in Stroud had to shut its store on Thursday morning.
This follows as an ambulance was seen outside the store.
The SNJ has contacted Lidl to clarify why the store was shut.
A spokesperson said: “We can confirm that the emergency services were called to our Stroud store on Thursday morning after a customer had taken ill while shopping in our store.
“The store was closed for a short time while they were tended to and is open again as normal.”
