Why Stroud is gridlocked

TEMPORARY traffic lights and roadworks across Stroud have been causing frustration among motorists.

There are currently 15 sets of temporary traffic lights across the town, with additional lane and road closures.

Here is a breakdown of all the temporary traffic lights:

Merrywalks double mini roundabout

Temporary traffic signals are currently in place as electrical cabling work is carried out by Western Power Distribution, with ‘delays likely’.

Work is due for completion on December 3.

Bath Road roundabout (by Travis Perkins)

Work is due for completion on November 25.

Rodborough Hill

Temporary traffic signals are currently in place as electrical cabling work is carried out by Western Power Distribution, with ‘delays likely’.

Work is due for completion on January 21.

Dr Newtons Way

Work is due for completion on November 26.

Bath Road (between Clothiers Arms and Bengal Balti)

Frome Park Road
