Woman caught nearly three times the limit in Mazda on Christmas Day

Judy Pawlowski, aged 59, of Durns Road, Wotton-under-Edge, pleaded guilty to the offence at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, March 22.

Pawlowski was caught in Shearing Close, Dursley, having consumed 100 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath on Sunday, December 25.

The legal limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

A community order was imposed stating that the defendant must have treatment for alcohol dependency for six months and treatment for mental health for 12 months.

Pawlowski was fined £150 and must also pay a £114 victim services surcharge plus £85 costs – a total of £349.

She has also been disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 25 months.

This can be reduced by 190 days if by June 3, if she completes a course approved by the Secretary of State, the cost of which will not exceed £250.

She also pleaded guilty to driving without insurance on the same day.
