
The defendant, who is aged in her 30s, was allegedly found drunk in Station Road, Gloucester while being in charge of a child under the age of seven on Friday, December 23.
She is charged under the Licensing Act 1902 which states that is illegal for any person to be “found drunk in any highway or other public place, or on any incensed premises, while being in charge of a child under the age of seven”.
If found guilty the woman, from Gloucester, could be fined or serve up to a month in prison.
This case will be heard Cheltenham Magistrates Court today, Thursday, April 13.
